Where do the concerts take place?
Do I need a ticket?
All of the concerts are free and open to the public - no ticket needed!
Can children attend?
All of the concerts are open to all ages. Everyone is welcome! We ask that everyone be respectful of their fellow audience members and refrain from throwing balls, frisbees, or other items. If you are looking for more active play opportunities for your child(ren), you might be interested in visiting the Mansfield Community Playground, which is located next to the Mansfield Community Center (10 S. Eagleville Road).
Can I bring food?
Is seating provided?
Some seating is provided, and you are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair. There are tables and chairs on Betsy Paterson Square, a sitting wall, and the lawn. Please be respectful of other concerts-goers when setting up your blanket or chair.
Is alcohol permitted?
No. Alcohol is prohibited on Paterson Square. The Town of Mansfield's ordinances are in effect and enforced.
Can I smoke on Paterson Square?
No. All tobacco products and uses are prohibited on Paterson Square, including chewing tobacco and all vaping. The Town of Mansfield's ordinances are in effect and enforced.
How do I get there?
Betsy Paterson Square is located in Downtown Storrs, about a minute walk from the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center. CTtransit offers daily service from Hartford and Manchester via the 913 Manchester-Buckland-Storrs Express. The bus stops at the Nash-Zimmer every hour on weekdays between 7:00 AM and midnight. WRTD offers daily service between Willimantic and the Nash-Zimmer; see their schedule here.
If you are driving, parking is available in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage, which is adjacent to the Nash-Zimmer. The garage is free for the first 2 hours and just $1/hour thereafter. Directions and parking info are available here.
